2.Properties:
Ferrous sulphate monohydrate is the chemical compound with the formula FeSO4, known since ancient times as copperas.
It is extensively used in animal feeds as it can stimulate the growth of animal's body, it is also used as fertilizer in the agricultural industry, raw material of other industrial.
3.Applications:
(1).The Agricultural, Lawn and Garden, and Turf Management industries use Ferrous Sulfate to correct iron chlorosis or deficiencies in plants and soils, to eliminate moss, to reduce alkalinity, and as a trace element or micronutrient in fertilizer. Also can used as pestiside to cure wheat, fruit trees such as apple, pear etc.
(2).In industry, ferrous sulfate is used as a reducing agent in the treatment of hazardous wastes, and as a coagulant and flocculant in the treatment of sewage waste, industrial effluents, raw drinking water and other wastewater sources.
(3). It is also used as a mordant in dyeing wool, in the manufacture of ink, in wter purification as a substitute for aluminum sulfate, as a fertilizer, and as a feed additive. It is used to produce magnetic ferric oxide.
